Greatness

How great are you?

"I'm so great, so I won't even try"

Are you so selfish that you will deny the world a great piece of you. Are you so ungreatful (yes, ungreatful), that you will promote lethargy instead of motivation. Why will you deny us your excellence, through your apathy? If you're so great, why does it seem that we can't look up to you... when in our hearts we know we should.

"I'm just okay, and I'll give you everything I got. But maybe, I'm just not great."

What is greatness? Is it being in the spotlight? Is it being envied? Is it corrupting, or empowering? You say you're okay, but what have you sacrificed? The great person has given up something to ensure their passion is met. The great person, loses a bit of who they are for their craft. The great person falls victim to greatness, and they don't even know. And because they don't know, they are either lazy or not great.

"I don't know I'm great. You know."

You are not great. Yet, everyone tells you you are. SO SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO THEM! YOU ARE!
